Upper East Side
A young family discovered their forever home on Manhattan’s Upper East Side—a classic Park Avenue co-op brimming with historic charm. Though they had never worked with an interior designer before, they knew this new chapter called for a professional touch.
From the start, the couple envisioned a space that felt soothing, calm, and effortlessly family-friendly. Drawn to the organic, modern aesthetic of our Soho project, which was marked by sculptural silhouettes and a serene, neutral palette, they wanted to bring that same refined warmth to their four-bedroom home overlooking the leafy trees off of Park Avenue.
The design embraces layered neutrals grounded in rich, earthy tones, allowing the apartment’s original architectural details to take center stage. We preserved the historic wall mouldings, juxtaposing them with modern, sculptural furnishings that lend a sense of quiet sophistication.
Throughout, simplicity and craftsmanship reign. Textural rugs anchor the rooms, while one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces—like a tiled side table, a ceramic lamp, and a hand-stitched headboard—add soul and individuality. The result is a timeless home that honors its classic bones while offering a serene, functional backdrop for family life.
